St. Pauls Chamber of Commerce

The St. Pauls Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1956 by a group of business people who saw the need for benefits of organizing . Their goal was to promote the interests of the business community, and thus the greater St. Pauls community.

The Chamber is led by an elected president, vice-president, ad secretary/treasurer and an appointed 12 member Board of Directors who serve staggered terms.

The Chamber has sponsored the St. Pauls Christmas Parade since 1956, a parade that draws thousands of spectators to the downtown area as a kickoff to the holiday season. The Chamber also participates in the Town's Tree Lighting Ceremony and hosts a reception afterwards.

The Chamber, at its annual General Membership Banquet, presents the Dan McCormick Award recognizing outstanding service to the business community and town in general.

Education is vital to the success of any business community, and the Chamber works with the schools in a variety of ways. Among these are the Students of Excellence program, where one member of each high school class is recognized and rewarded. The Chamber also sponsors an annual Teacher Appreciation Day, complete with a complimentary breakfast for teachers in five area schools.

In addition to supporting business causes, and the Downtown Development Association, the Chamber actively recruits new business and industry as well as participating in grand opening events once that business locates here.

The St. Pauls Chamber of Commerce works year-round to improve the quality of life for all St. Pauls residents and surrounding communities by supporting the business community.
