2017 Christmas Events

The Town of St. Pauls will host the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, November 24th from 5:30 pm to 8:00 PM adjacent to the railroad tracks on the north side of W. Broad Street.  Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be there to greet the children. Several local choirs and musical groups will perform holiday favorites including Shannon Jones, Adam Johnson and The Life Kids. Bring your singing voices to join in to open up the Christmas season.  There will be plenty of hot steaming cocoa to warm the heart and cold hands.

The next weekend is the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017.  Santa Claus will be on the final float that is sponsored by Brisson Drugs and Lumbee Guaranty Bank.  The St. Pauls High School ROTC unit will lead the parade from Old Stage Road all the way to Maple Street. The St. Pauls High School Marching Band will be in among the 50 entries along with 2 Shriner units.  The Robeson County Community College Chorus will present a range of holiday favorites.

Santa Claus will listen intently to childrens’ Christmas lists on the Saturday, December 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the Farmers’ Market lot on East Broad Street next to the railroad tracks.  Santa will be happy to have you take a picture of your children with him.

Concrete Pouring Scheduled

Walbridge Construction is the general contractor for the new Pepsi Distribution Center that is being built on NC 20 west of St. Pauls.  To complete the concrete panels and floor that they are constructing, they will begin pouring concrete at 3:00 AM on the following days. Friday, April 14th, Tuesday, April 18th, Wednesday, April 19th, Thursday, April 20th, Wednesday, April 26th, Thursday, April 27th and Friday, April 28th.  We apologize for the inconvenience and the noise.  The contractor has been cooperative in limiting the number of days that they are pouring so early in the morning.
