Sec. 28-26. - Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Taxicab means any motor vehicle seating nine or fewer passengers, operated upon any street or highway on call or on demand, accepting or soliciting passengers indiscriminately for hire between such points along streets or highways as may be directed by the passengers so being transported.
